League of Conservation Voters Releases Annual "Scorecard"

March 5, 2008

As the political season cranks up from now until November, it may be useful to have information about the environmental records of US Representatives and Senators, including presidential candidates.

One tool is the annual Scorecard produced by an advocacy group, the League of Conservation Voters. The 2007 Scorecard was released Feb. 21, 2008. It's based on a sample of legislative actions that the LCV deemed indicative of environmental issues addressed in the first session of the 110th Congress in 2007. The Scorecard is searchable in a number of ways, so you can find information of interest to your audience.
