"Congressional negotiators and the White House announced a bipartisan budget deal last night that's likely to provide increases for energy and environmental agencies over the next two years.
The House is expected to vote on the agreement before leaving for its summer recess at the end of this week; the Senate would follow suit before its break begins Aug. 2.
President Trump tweeted his support for the accord last evening, calling it a "real compromise" and signaling he would sign it.
The agreement would end the budget sequester that was slated to cut discretionary spending by $125 billion in fiscal 2020, instead raising budget caps by $320 billion over the next two fiscal years. The increase would go toward both defense and domestic programs."
