SkyTruth Launches Online Environmental Accident Mapper

October 19, 2011

Environmental reporters can now get a better picture of breaking environmental pollution events using SkyTruth Alerts. The nonprofit group SkyTruth pioneered the use of geospatial information in covering pollution during the 2010 BP spill in the Gulf.

SkyTruth Alerts cover air and water pollution events, toxic spills, and other incidents using open data from government satellites and other sources.
