Now showing in a theater near you: "Casino Jack and the United States of Money" -- a film about Jack Abramoff, the now-incarcerated super-lobbyist who bought and sold influence and officials at the Department of Interior during the Bush administration.
But you will not see any on-camera interviews with Abramoff in the film. The watchdog group Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) alleges that the Justice Department has refused to let Abramoff do on-camera interviews.
CREW has filed Freedom of Information Act requests for information confirming the Justice Department's role in keeping Abramoff quiet about government corruption. CREW has not yet gotten the information it wants.
