Meet SEJ member Megan Myscofski! Megan is a freelance reporter, and just wrapped up her time as Business and Economics Reporter for Arizona Public Media. She reported, produced and hosted a narrative podcast, Tapped, on the cost of drought in Arizona this past summer. It tells the story of how agriculture, housing, infrastructure, border issues and more all play a role in the story of aridification. Megan was previously a reporter and host at Montana Public Radio and an intern on the podcast Threshold. Her work has also been featured on NPR, Yellowstone Public Radio and Bklyner. She holds an MA in Business and Economics Reporting from the Newmark School of Journalism at CUNY and a BA in Comparative Literature from NYU. Megan had her first audio journalism internship as a high school exchange student in Essen, Germany.
When asked how SEJ membership has made her job easier, Megan said, "I've been a member of SEJ since 2019 and have attended two conferences. The connections I've made there have helped me navigate job hunting during the pandemic, spurred collaboration and put me in the path of some great new friends." Join Megan at SEJ today!
