"EPA: Trump Repeats Effort To Slash Agency Funding"

"President Trump has proposed to slash EPA's budget by nearly a third.

The White House today released its budget plan for fiscal 2020, and again the Trump administration has taken aim at the federal government's agency guarding the environment and public health.

Under Trump's budget blueprint, EPA would receive $6.1 billion in fiscal 2020, a marked decrease of more than 31 percent from the agency's current funding.

EPA received more than $8.8 billion in funds for fiscal 2019 under spending legislation passed by Congress earlier this year."

Kevin Bogardus reports for Greenwire March 11, 2019.
