"LANSING, MI — Michigan is not thrilled with the idea of oil moving through more old underwater lines in its Great Lakes waters.
That's the thrust of statements from the attorney general and the Department of Environmental Quality about a Texas company requesting federal approval to move oil through a pair of idled 98-year-old lines underneath the St. Clair River.
On Thursday, April 14, the public comment window ended on Texas-based Plains All American Pipeline's request to update federal usage permits on a group of border-crossing pipelines the company bought in 2012."
