"Memphis Group Worried About Moss Point Cancer Deaths"

"MOSS POINT, Mississippi -- Too many Moss Point residents are dying from cancer, leaders from a Memphis-based civil rights organization said Tuesday."

"Wendol Lee, president and founder of Operation Help Civil Rights Group, began looking at Moss Point after his organization received about 56 letters in about a month's time, all saying there were too many cancer deaths in the area.

Lee held a meeting Tuesday afternoon at Moss Point City Hall to discuss his organization's intentions in the matter."

April M. Havens reports for the Mississippi Press June 12, 2012.
