"Regan To Square Off With House Oversight Republicans"

"In his first appearance before the committee, the EPA administrator will defend his agency’s regulatory push."

"EPA Administrator Michael Regan this week will face off with House Republicans troubled by his agency’s regulations designed to tackle climate change.

Regan will be making his first appearance before the Oversight and Accountability Committee. The panel, which is controlled by Republicans, has a broad mandate to investigate every nook and cranny of the federal government.

The hearing comes as EPA wraps up a busy spring in which it churned out numerous rules dealing with air and water pollution as well as greenhouse gas emissions."

Kevin Bogardus reports for E&E News June 3, 2024.
