"Nearly three and a half years after settling with ExxonMobil for the largest environmental settlement in Garden State history, New Jersey Attorney General Gurbir Grewal announced on Thursday that the state is again going after the oil giant.
The state is accusing Exxon of industrial dumping at its Lail property, a more than 12-acre site in East Greenwich Township and Paulsboro. According to the state, the dumping dates back to the 1950s.
The six-count lawsuit, which seeks Natural Resources Damages (NRDs) among other relief, was filed in state Superior Court in Gloucester County on Thursday by Grewal’s office on behalf of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection."
