Court: EPA Must Hand Over Auto Emissions Data After Trump Rollback

"Environmental groups today [Wednesday] scored a courtroom victory in their quest to obtain information relevant to EPA's rollback of Obama-era vehicle emissions standards.

A panel of judges for the 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals found that green groups had a right to access the Optimization Model for Reducing Emissions of Greenhouse Gases from Automobiles, known as the OMEGA model.

The ruling overturns a lower court's decision allowing EPA to keep the model under wraps and comes the day after the Trump administration unveiled the second part of its car rules rollback, formally titled the Safer Affordable Fuel Efficient (SAFE) Vehicles rule."
