The NABJ will gather in Chicago, Illinois, Jul 31-Aug 4, for the 2024 Annual Convention, a multiday event for journalism education, career development, networking and industry innovation.

Several hundred journalists from Asia, the Pacific and the United States will gather in Manila for the East-West Center's conference, which is held every two years.

The East-West Center’s 2024 Exchange takes place Sep 19-28 with the theme “Balancing US-Korea Relations in an Election Year.” Open to US and Korean print, broadcast, and online journalists with a minimum of five years of experience. Apply by May 31.

The James Aronson Awards annually honor original, written reporting that brings to light widespread injustices, their human consequences, underlying causes, and possible reforms. The Awards also include a companion Cartooning with a Conscience award. Deadline is Mar 18, 2019.

The 2024 Asian American Journalists Association National Convention will take place in Austin, Texas, Aug 7-11. This year's theme is “Meeting the Moment”.

The Native American Journalists Association will convene at the 2023 National Native Media Conference in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada for sessions about best practices in Indigenous media, training and workshops to support and enhance the knowledge and skills of journalists covering Indigenous communities.

The Indigenous Journalists Association (IJA) annually recognizes excellence in covering Indian Country by Indigenous and non-Indigenous journalists across the U.S. and Canada, including students. Deadline: Mar 22, 2024.
