DEADLINE: IRP Reporting Trip on Poverty, Hunger and Food Security in Tanzania

The International Reporting Project is accepting applications until August 2nd for a ten-day new media reporting trip to Tanzania, Sep 29-Oct 9. The trip will focus on stunting and undernutrition, environmental sustainability, agriculture markets, agricultural and health policy, technology and innovation in agriculture, and other closely related themes.

The Himalayan Climate Change Adaptation Programme provides grants to support professional journalists in reporting investigative stories on climate-related environmental issues, with special regard to adaptation measures. DEADLINE: Trout Unlimited – Renewable Energy Summit Fellowship Opportunity

Trout Unlimited will hold a summit on renewable energy the week of May 27 in Saratoga, Wyoming, the future site of North America’s largest wind project. This summit will focus largely on the expansion of renewable energy to public lands across the West, and how that will impact the heritage the West has long been known for. It will feature candid conversations with local sportsmen, as well as presentations by fish and wildlife experts. DEADLINE: Middlebury Fellowships in Environmental Journalism

The Middlebury Fellowships, directed by Bill McKibben, each year help 10 early-career journalists work through an ambitious reporting project from the beginning through publication or broadcast. The program runs week-long residencies for the selected Fellows at Middlebury College, VT, in the fall and at Monterey Institute for International Studies, CA, in the spring. $10,000 stipend.
