Data Tools for Climate Reporting: A Journalist’s Guide to PalmWatch and mBio

The University of Chicago’s Academic Communicators Network and the Data Science Institute invite journalists to a reporter resource session showcasing two free, interactive data tools for climate reporting. Data experts David Uminsky, Dylan Halpern and Susan Paykin from the Data Science Institute will demo PalmWatch and mBio, online platforms that track deforestation and genetically modified crops, respectively. This 45-minute session will walk journalists through accessing and interpreting the data, and offer a live Q&A with faculty.
