Though no one yet has good numbers, people agree the number of bicycle commuters in Los Angeles is growing. The city is responding with more bike lanes, bike signage and bike paths. The police department has made changes. Cyclists say they hope Mayor Villaraigosa's recent bike accident will prove a turning point.
