The Solutions Project’s Storybank

The Solutions Project’s Storybank is a multimedia resource for journalists interested in covering community-led climate solutions.

The Storybank features the stories of grassroots organizations that are working at the intersection of climate justice and other social challenges.

Examples:

  • As part of its Sustainable Square Mile Initiative, Blacks in Green is transforming Emmett Till’s childhood home on the South Side of Chicago into a zero-emissions museum honoring him and his family
  • PUSH Buffalo’s Green Development Zone includes a Sustainable Workforce Training Center that creates pathways for disadvantaged communities to access high-quality careers in the green economy
  • In a bold move toward energy independence, Hoʻāhu Energy Cooperative Molokai is harnessing the power of community co-designed utility-scale and microgrid projects for the Hawaiian island of Molokai—home to some of the highest electricity rates in the State of Hawaiʻi and the nation.
  • More.

Each story includes a video, a written summary, and whenever possible, a character profile.
