Gainesville Environmental Film and Arts Festival

Event Date:
March 19, 2010 to March 28, 2010

Don’t miss the first annual Gainesville Environmental Film and Arts Festival, March 19-28, 2010: TEN DAYS of the best environmental feature films and documentaries, culminating in an outdoor Environmental Fair with music, art, entertainment, food, Eco-information booths and a free family film on March 27 and ecotours of the region’s natural resources on March 28.

The Festival is a not-for-profit event organized by The Hippodrome Theatre and www.GoGreenNation.org to raise awareness of environmental issues in our North Florida region and to inspire our community to address environmental issues through lifestyle adjustments, business and the arts. This festival will engage the community through school-related programs; community conservation projects; green business education; film, music, dance, poetry, photography and visual art exhibitions; and community non-profit organization involvement.

The Festival will bring thousands of movie, arts and nature lovers to downtown Gainesville to see outstanding environmental films and art, learn about environmental and social justice issues, explore our natural treasures, connect with those working to protect them and create a more sustainable community.

Call Trish Riley: 954-384-9466 or Shirley Lasseter: 352-215-9918.
