Communicating Climate Change Workshop, at UNFCCC Climate Change Summit

Join journalists, bloggers, and scientists to discuss innovative ways to communicate about climate change at UNFCCC Climate Change Summit. Internews’ Earth Journalism Network and the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) will host the 2nd Climate Communications Day at this year’s UNFCCC Climate Change Summit in Doha, Qatar. This year they will specifically examine how to use new approaches to communicate climate change issues to both new and existing audiences.

Topics include "Reaching New Audiences," with Breakout Sessions in:

  • Communicating Climate Change with Games
  • Climate Change and the Social Web
  • Climate Comedy
  • Making Maps (and Sense) of Data
  • Born in a Changing Climate
  • Climate Change: As seen on screen

Registration is free for Climate Communications Day (9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), but attendance is limited, and separate COP18 registration is the responsibility of the registrant.
