US EPA Terms of Environment

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's Terms & Acronyms defines commonly used environmental terms in non-technical language. While it is by no means an inclusive list, it nonetheless provides a good starting place for understanding and communicating with clarity to your audience.

The defined terms are chosen from EPA materials: previously published lists, internal glossaries produced by various programs and specific suggestions made by Agency personnel.
