Hurricane Sandy Relief Fund for SEJ Members

Dear SEJ Members,

Seven years ago members of the Society of Environmental Journalists came together to help colleagues impacted by Hurricane Katrina to get back up on their feet. The outpouring of support was spontaneous, heart-warming, and life-changing.

Our community faces a similar disaster this year on the east coast with Hurricane Sandy. Some members may have seen their home office flooded. Others may have lost a laptop or backup hard drive. Meanwhile many of you have asked what you can do to help.

SEJ has set up a small fund for those who want to help fellow members. Donations of any amount will be accepted.

To mail your donation, send to:

SEJ
Hurricane Relief Account
P.O. Box 2492
Jenkintown, PA 19046

Checks should be made out to "SEJ."

To make an online donation, go to:

Requests for assistance may be sent to the above address, emailed to sej@sej.org, or faxed to (215) 884-8175.

The SEJ board’s executive committee will work with staff to manage disbursements. Priority will be given to requests related to emergency needs such as food, lodging, medical assistance and transportation.

Thanks.
