"Interior: New Watchdog Starts Patrolling"

"Interior Department Inspector General Mark Lee Greenblatt keeps the courage of other men in mind.

It helps when hassles arise, whether from bad traffic or his responsibilities as the new internal watchdog for a department of some 70,000 employees.

The 45-year-old father of two took office Aug. 26 as Interior's first Senate-confirmed inspector general in a decade. He brought with him years of federal oversight experience as well as some life lessons learned in researching his book 'Valor: Unsung Heroes from Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Home Front'."
