"Greens Slam ‘Dangerous, Dirty, Denying’ Trump At Dem Convention"

"The head of a top environmental group told the Democratic National Convention on Thursday his top goal is to defeat 'dirty, dangerous, denying Donald' Trump in this November’s presidential election.

Addressing the crowd on the afternoon of the convention’s final day, League of Conservation Voters (LCV) President Gene Karpinski said his group was adding Trump to its 'dirty dozen' list of top political targets in the fall election.

He repeated long-standing environmental concerns connected to Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, including his denial of the science behind man-made climate change and support for more fossil fuel development. He said Trump would mean 'more pollution in our air, more poison in our water and more public lands stripped for private profit.”

The LCV’s political arm endorsed Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton last fall, giving her the group’s earliest-ever presidential endorsement. Karpinski promoted Clinton’s candidacy on Thursday, saying her clean energy policies are 'win-win-win-win: good for our economy, for our security, for our health and for our planet.'"
