"EPA: 'All-Out Assault.' Trump Critics Open Fight Against CO2 Rule"

"Critics of the Trump administration fired their opening shots last week in a legal brawl over EPA's rollback of power plant emissions standards.

A group of state attorneys general, utility companies and environmental organizations argued that EPA's Affordable Clean Energy (ACE) rule fails to reduce enough greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act in documents supporting their lawsuit against the agency.

'The Rule is a blatant abdication of EPA's statutory duty to protect the public from air pollution that the agency itself has repeatedly found poses grave and imminent dangers to health and welfare,' said a brief filed by environmental groups."
