"Biden Advisory Group Lays Out Environmental Justice Roadmap"

"President Joe Biden should take major steps to fulfill his environmental justice pledge and avoid the types of incremental initiatives that will lead to little progress, a White House advisory council said Thursday.

The White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council, made up largely of environmental justice advocates, voted to advance draft recommendationsthat would significantly expand environmental justice efforts at federal departments and agencies.

The recommendations, which now head to the Biden administration, include how the president should revise a 1994 environmental justice executive order largely untouched since President Bill Clinton issued it."
