Social Media One-Night Stand at Continuing Ed. Unit of Columbia’s Graduate School of Journalism

Event Date:
November 29, 2012

A special, advanced social-media class will be given by Professor Sree Sreenivasan (@sree), one of Poynter.org's 35 most influential people in social media and one of AdAge's 20 media people to follow on Twitter. 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. EST

This innovative workshop consists of a 3-hour in-person group class to be held at the Journalism School and in a live Abode Connect webcast, followed by two weeks of online Q&A and community, curated by Sree and adjunct professors. (On the registration form, select whether you will take course in person or via the webcast. Please upgrade your browser to the latest version available with your operating system.)

This workshop won’t be providing basic information; attendees are expected to come with experience using social media for business. The focus will be on the latest tools as well as best practices and case studies. This will be a fast-paced, tips-filled session. Come ready to learn and ask lots of sharp questions in-person or via the live chatroom.
