Global to Local: Warming Stripes and Realtime Climate

Event Date:
June 21, 2021

Join Climate Central and Ed Hawkins of the University of Reading, creator of the warming stripes visuals, for a 30-minute virtual discussion on how meteorologists and journalists (and other professionals) can use warming stripes, Realtime Climate alerts and other resources to integrate localized climate data visualizations into stories and communications about climate-related events.

Ed will be joined by Univision's Hilda Garcia and Axios' Andrew Freedman, to talk about their experiences helping large audiences understand climate science.

We'll include a short demonstration of Realtime Climate, Climate Central’s new reporting resource that provides timely, personalized alerts highlighting climate connections to unusual local weather events as they happen.

When: Monday, June 21, 2021 at 12:00 p.m. ET.
