DEADLINE: Religion Journalism Fellowships

Event Date:
June 30, 2021

Religion News Service (RNS) and IFYC are pleased to announce the 2021-22 Religion Journalism Fellowship for recent graduates. The fellowship targets the intersection of religion and racial justice, where untold numbers of strong environmental stories await.

The fellowship includes a stipend of $4,000 to five recent journalism graduates from across the country, with the expectation that they will produce at least 10 news stories that focus on religion, and the intersection of racial justice and interfaith work. Fellows will receive editorial mentorship from prominent religion writers and editors, attend editorial pitch meetings, writing seminars, as well as the opportunity to attend an all-expenses paid RNS conference in March, 2022.

The fellowship begins in September 2021 and continues through May 2022.

Applications are due by June 30.
