DEADLINE: Planet Forward Frontline Climate Fellowship

Event Date:
April 19, 2024

The Planet Forward Frontline Climate Fellowship is seeking six unique, highly diverse college students to report environmental stories from, by, and about underserved communities on the front lines of climate change and environmental inequity.

Fellows will work in an intensive collegiate environment to create a video, multimedia presentation, photo essay, or written story from and about their community. Fellows will be rigorously mentored and coached on career trajectory and professional networking as they research, develop, and publish their work over six weeks at George Washington University hosted by Planet Forward.

Held from June 10-July 19, 2024, the first week of programming will be in person at GW in Washington, D.C., followed by five weeks of full-time remote reporting, which includes weekly team meetings and mentoring from the Fellowship editorial team.

Fellows will be awarded a $5,000 stipend, room and board for one week at GW, and — if needed — flights to and from D.C. for that week.

Deadline to apply: April 10, 2024 extended to April 19 at 6:00 p.m. ET.

Details and application.
