DEADLINE: Hillman Prizes in Journalism

Since 1950, the Sidney Hillman Foundation awards the annual Hillman Prizes in Journalism, honoring excellence in investigative journalism and commentary in service of the common good. The categories include books (non-fiction), newspaper, magazine, broadcast and opinion/analysis journalism.

The contest is open to journalists and subjects globally, although work must have been intended for and be widely accessible to a U.S. audience. Winners will be awarded a $5,000 honorarium and a certificate at at our annual ceremony in New York City, on May 7, 2024.

Deadline: Jan 30, 2024.

The Hillman Foundation also awards the The Sidney, a $500 honorarium given monthly for an outstanding piece of investigative journalism that fosters social and economic justice.
