2020 Journalists’ Guide to Energy & Environment

Event Date:
January 24, 2020

From Australia to the Arctic to your neighborhood, environment and energy news is already heating up as 2020 kicks off — and the election promises to add fuel to the fire. On January 24, 2020, a packed house of attendees got a head start on the year's top stories at the Society of Environmental Journalists' 8th annual "Journalists' Guide to Energy & Environment" at the National Geographic Society's Grosvenor Auditorium.

Organized by North America's largest membership organization of reporters covering the environment and energy, this popular event draws hundreds of journalists, policymakers, Congressional staff, advocates, scientists and more for the launch of SEJ's "Journalists' Guide to Energy & Environment 2020," an annual look at the top issues to come in the year ahead.

After seven standing-room-only years at the Woodrow Wilson Center, this year the National Geographic Society welcomed the crowds to their spacious auditorium in downtown DC.

SEJ also released its annual "Journalists' Guide to Energy & Environment" with leads, tips and background on the big issues likely to hit the headlines in 2020. See what we've published.
