The University of Chicago’s Academic Communicators Network [1] and the Data Science Institute [2] invite journalists to a reporter resource session showcasing two free, interactive data tools for climate reporting. Data experts David Uminsky [3], Dylan Halpern [4] and Susan Paykin [5] from the Data Science Institute will demo PalmWatch [6] and mBio [7], online platforms that track deforestation and genetically modified crops, respectively. This 45-minute session will walk journalists through accessing and interpreting the data, and offer a live Q&A with faculty.
