In Rare Move, Court Halts ETP Bayou Bridge Oil Pipeline [1]

"A federal court last week made the rare decision to block an oil pipeline.

The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana issued a preliminary injunction Friday evening that halts construction on the Bayou Bridge pipeline.

The injunction will stay in effect while the court considers environmental challenges to the project, which could take months.

Developer Energy Transfer Partners, the same company behind the divisive Dakota Access pipeline, this morning appealed the ruling to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals."
