Learn about Ceres' new initiative connecting the dots between climate change, extreme weather, and the steep economic costs for a broad cross-section of businesses and consumers.

Find out how fascinating insurance can be! You can’t start a business or buy a house without it. It’s the lifeblood of the economy, yet climate change threatens its long-term affordability and availability.

Talk with Sharlene Leurig, Ceres’ insurance expert and speaker on Saturday’s SEJ plenary, Flood, Sweat and Fears; Mark Way, director of sustainability and political risk management at Swiss Re; and Barney Schauble, managing principal at Nephila Capital, about their leadership moving the insurance industry to address climate change with innovative products like renewable energy insurance, catastrophe bonds and drought insurance for poor farmers.

View our new slide show exposing climate change’s threats to insurance availability.

Most importantly, eat, drink, swap stories and unwind after your exhausting day out in the field. Beer, wine and hors d’oeuvres will be served.
