April 1, 2008, was the entry deadline for SEJ's seventh annual journalism
contest, which honors outstanding
environmental coverage in nine
categories, each with a $1,000 prize, plus a student category. As well, this year's
contest included a new book category offering a $10,000 prize.
The
entries will be judged this summer by
panels of esteemed journalists and
journalism educators, and the winners
will be announced at SEJ's
18th Annual Conference, October 15-19,
2008, in Roanoke, Virginia.
